I watch from my window
as life begins to fade
space
The vibrant joyous green
turns
like a page
space
and just for a second
there’s hope
as the light hits
the golden glimpses
space
But, I blink
and it’s all just brown beneath me
space
I watch from my window
as life begins to fade
